Beginning December
31, 2006, a passport will be required for all air and sea travel to or
from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
Beginning December 31, 2007, the passport requirement will be extended
to include all land border crossings to or from the above-mentioned destinations.
Currently, passports are recommended but not required for travel to and from
Canada, Mexico, Panama, the Caribbean and Bermuda. Always check with your
travel agent at the time of booking to verify documentation that will be required.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The former Plattsburgh Air Force Base will be marketed as
"Montreal's U.S. Airport" as part of a $20 million renovation project, officials
announced Tuesday. The airport, to be called Plattsburgh International Airport
when opened for passenger operations by 2007, will be marketed as a travel
option for Canadians as well as Americans near the border, according to a
statement released by Garry Douglas, president of the Plattsburgh North Country
Chamber of Commerce.Construction began on a passenger terminal that is scheduled
to open by 2007.
The airport is one hour south of downtown Montreal.
